Mobile

MG Siegler has one of his gems here.

I used a mega-advanced human-aided hyper-efficient super-algorithm to compress the first 740 words of the post to only six characters. I am pretty sure the achieved compression ratio of 5180 to 6 (that is 863 to 1) is the best compression ever achieved in the industry. Ever. By a long shot.

The characters in question?
You guessed it:

Mobile

Mobile has been the mantra for the good part of the last half decade. And for a good reason.

While I agree with MG, his thoughts are mostly valid for consumer startups.
There are pretty large areas in enterprise, data management, analytics, embedded software and so on and so forth where the traditional computing is not going anywhere. There is still a lot of room for growth in these (and many other) areas. For some of them mobile could be useful add-on (an app accompanying the enterprise insurance system providing a limited on-the-go functionality) while for others it might not be applicable at all.
