Well, actually I don't quote know if it was a Day One or iOS or core data bug, but the app simply failed to add new entries.
It seemed like working fine, but after restarting the app, the entry was missing.
This behavior was the same even when I completely turned off sync.
Things started to work again only when I restarted the phone.
